Moving Images is comprised of a core team of two individuals and a floating population in the region of 3-5 people. Over the years a number of research and production assistants have worked with us. In addition, we have initiated an internship programme over the past year, and have had students from Symbiosis, Pune, Punjab University’s Mass Communications Centre and the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad.
Sanjay Barnela
Cameraperson & Director
Sanjay Barnela is a documentary film maker and cameraperson who has been producing documentaries since 1987. He worked as a Producer at the Centre for Development of Instructional Technology (CENDIT) from 1987 to 1991. He then took a detour into video journalism before returning to making documentaries. He has over 20 films to his credit, most notably, Pastoral Politics, Turf Wars, The Elusive Mountain – Gya, Vidyalayam, Boond Boond Se, Reaching for the Sun & Tales from the Indian Countryside.
Anjali Khosla
Editor
Anjali Khosla is a Documentary Film Maker and Editor who has been producing documentary videos since 1987. She has specialised in editing both documentary and news features and worked as an editor for 3 years with the weekly news magazine `EYEWITNESS’ produced by Hindustan Times. She has been an instructor during several `Women and Media’ workshops for South Asia conducted by CENDIT and ILO. Her productions include Towards a Better Tomorrow – a film on the girl child, A Partnership for Construction, and a series of public interest spots on the Girl Child in India. She has edited several documentaries including Boond Boond Se, Vidyalayam, SAHAY, The Elusive Mountain – Gya and Tales from the Indian Countryside
Samreen Farooqui has completed her Masters from the Mass Communication Research Centre in Jamia Millia Islamia. She has worked with various production houses including Riverbanks Studios and Dusty Foot Productions in the capacity of a producer and scriptwriter. Currently, she is trying her hand and luck at editing and camera in Moving Images.
